Gabe Barrett started publishing games under the Barrett Publishing banner in 2018. At first, he designed multiplayer games but was always keen to have an enjoyable 1-player variant. However, as time went by, he found himself drawn more and more to solo games. (And the 2020 pandemic solidified this.)

So, in January of 2021, Gabe rebranded the games side of his publishing company as Best With 1. The games published by Best With 1 will focus on solo play. They’ll often have a 2-player variant, but the experience overall will be best with 1.

The solo gaming community has grown by leaps and bounds in recent years, and Best With 1 is excited to create amazing experiences for these gamers!
